Deanna Baugh has been weaving for over 30 years and has always preferred to weave useful items for herself, her family and her home. She has been teaching weaving for over 20 years and loves to show beginners the fun that weaving can be.

Since the "Faux Southwest" or "Navajo" designs are available in other places, Deanna has designed a more traditional rug based on the Swedish and American rag rugs. The designs will look great in many types of decor , while keeping with the designs that fit more with her style and heritage.

The rugs can be woven in a plain or twill weave structure. Either style will need a rubber mat underneath if they are placed on a smooth hard floor. Over an existing rug is not a problem. Twill rugs are thicker and feel great on your feet. The plain weave rugs are flatter and not as spongy.

There are a few offerings that Deanna has graciously woven to show the possibilities of using your yarn to create rugs of lasting beauty with an artful flair.

Deanna's favorite rug is the small beside rug. These are 20" x 40" and feel like a "Cloud" when you step on them. These are the twill woven rugs, which if made from alpaca, they would make getting out of bed a treat for your feet.

Example of Costs for a 3 x 5 Rug:

If you have enough fiber processed for your discounts you can take an additional 10% or 15% from the processing costs.
Note: There are no discounts for the actual weaving.
In this case it would be
$7.50 for a 15% discount
$5 for a 10% discount

FYI - Spinderella's DOES NOT charge additional for the weaving. All charges go to the weaver who wove the rug or pillow.
