We can now offer rug yarn or a very thick knitting single. Your yarn can be approximately 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick.

MINIMUM CHARGE PER FLEECE IS TWO (2) POUNDS

This yarn can be made from any fiber, from coarser wools and older animals to your fiber seconds. We can combine fleece's of varying lengths for the rug yarn application. We are always experimenting to push the envelope and will post photos as we figure out some exciting rug yarns as well as the "Big Stitch" Yarns that are all the rage.

These bumps are 150 yards long weighing approximately 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 pounds, depending on the fiber. One to 1 1/2rug yarn bump/s can make a 3' x 5' WOVEN rug depending on how you set the warp and how you beat the weft. It takes about 3 pounds of washed fiber to make 1 rug bump.

Our Rug Yarn is wrapped around a 4 ply cotton core which makes it sublte and long lasting. We do not use jute or twine as the 1/2 life of these fibers is 25 years. We can use a fiber core, and will get those photos up for comparision soon.

You can use lots of colors for a varigated look or just one color for a solid. You decide, but let us know on your order form.

Also note that there are times we are not able to spin your fibers without the addition of wool. We do have these fibers available for purchase.

Volume Discounts

Discounts will be figured on finished weight of fibers and applied to the whole order
Our discounts apply to a cumulative weight - if you send 5 fleeces run separately and the finished weight is more than 20 pounds - you will receive the discount. This can be a mix of carding and spinning.
Again- volume discounts DO NOT have to be all one run!
