Hadar

Hadar

Hadar is our newest baby from Belgium. He was born January 9, 2008 and Hadar registered name means "honor."

Though we were not in the market for a puppy at this time, we have loved the du Manoir Noble line for a few years. Always following their pups and dogs.

Through a series of jokes, the reality of having one of the Snoeks' dogs in our home became a reality very quickly and we decided to Co-own him with Kay and Don Kline. They also own Darwin and Nikita - two more of the Snoeks' dogs we think are beautiful

The thought of Simcha getting older, made me realize that she will be 8 when I have this little one trained. Though she will always be in Deanies life, she earns the right to relax.

Hadar reminds me so much of Simcha's temperament. Calm, loving and extremely smart. A shadow- and sweet boy. He has captured our hearts quickly

We will be taking him to classes soon, and start him herding with the big dogs this spring and summer, then agility and yes, we will show him in the "froo froo" ring, as we call it.

puppy playing

Hadar is gentle with the grand children- they are very happy to have a puppy around again.

The big dogs are starting to warm up to him as well. We forgot about house training! Oh man- he is doing well, but that is relative.

But stay tuned- I am sure we will have lots more to share as he grows up.

To the right is a slideshow of his trip to America.

Hadar had lots of stops and time changes, we think he is getting used to Utah time now.

Here is Hadar laying down with Shaymus- they will be buddies soon. Hadar prefers to be with people and other dogs. He is not one to be alone and definitely does not like his crate- so though he has no choice- we think he keeps hoping one days that crate will be a thing of the past!

Hadar's 1st show

a briard puppy shows

Little Hadar was so cute at his 1st show. He was 13 weeks old at the date of the show, April 12, 2008. He wooed the judges with his sweet face and showed he can keep up with the Big guys.

Having been the only Briard in his class, he went on to win Best Puppy in the herding group.

Hadar was very tired in the Best in Show ring, as he had been in 2 shows that day and just wanted to sit and lie down! But we are proud of him , none the less. He went group 2 puppy in the 2nd show. Hadar was showing with puppies that were lots older than himslef- most of them were at least 7 months old. We thought this would be a fun experience for him even if he didn't win a thing!

a briard puppy and his metals

Our grand daughter, Azriela is proud of Hadar. Here you see them dawning the metals she is so proud of. Her puppy won them for HER, you see. LOL

Azriela also wore her hair Briard Style - she was so very proud of her newest hair style and let us know that she had a "Simch-Doo". The two of them are quite a pair - we think we should keep both of them. what do you think?
